(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I see Haltech give the unit a good review. Just a couple of quick questions: 1. I understand a couple of flanges, including Subby flanges are available. The flange I've got is Greddy. Is that the same, or is there a Greddy flange available? 2. Since it is designed to be used on different cars, I don't think all cars use the same 1 1/8" hose size we use. (Or whatever that is in metric...) But since Haltech didn't indicate any special hose requirements, I assume that means it has the same hose size as we use?

| Not Ranked : 0 score Are you talking about the recirculation piece or a flange? The flange the stock ms3/ms6 uses is this one ![]() Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2 |

| Not Ranked : 0 score HKS flange won't work with this valve. The stock recirc hose will work with it. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Oh, crap, I'm a moron. I didn't mean HKS. I meant Greddy. I need Greedy compatible flange. So, let me try again, does Cobb have a Greddy compatible flange? I've currently got a first-gen Street Unit dual-port BOV. I drilled extra holes in the flange to make it Greddy compatible. And the reason I have a Greddy flange is simply that is the most commonly available when buying a BOV flange pipe on ebay. So, hypothetically, I could do the same here, drill extra holes. I'm not even sure I'm going to replace the SU unit. I have to at least replace the hose fitting on it. So, I figured I would at least have a look and see. I like that the Cobb is shorter than the unit I've got.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I got the 90 degree fitting for my old SU BOV. The BOV is really still too tall, it still hits my hot pipe. But, now it is at least workable for the short term. But I guess I will soon need a shorter BOV so I'll probably soon go ahead and get the Cobb. Anybody have the total height measurement of the unit? Cobb also sells their BOV for the GTR. None of those are the same as Greddy? Just given how common the Greddy bolt pattern seems to be (just judging from the availability of BOV flange pipes on eBay) I would think that offering a Greddy bolt pattern flange would be useful. Having a single flange with multiple bolt holes would be convenient, though some might find that aesthetically unappealing.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I decided to, at least for short term, just keep using my SU, and replace the hose fitting on it. I still might eventually get the Cobb. But, to clarify the questions: I was just kinda guessing that maybe Subby was the same as Greddy. Particularly since so many BOV pipes on eBay are Greddy, I was thinking maybe some car manufacturers used the same dimensions.
So, I considered either just replacing the fitting on it, or getting a new BOV. Haltech gave the Cobb unit a good review, so I figured I would at least consider it. I went ahead and called SU today, and they had some of the 90 degree fittings on the shelf that they currently use, and sold it to me for $8 including shipping, so I went ahead and bought it. I talked to a guy named Ryan. I'm sure he's a fine guy, just doing his job, but, with all the SU/SURE crap going on here, I couldn't help myself and poked him a bit and said, "I hear you are getting a lot of heat on Mazdaspeed Forums." He said, and I quote, "just some kids talking tough, we don't pay too much attention to that". LOL. Like I said, I know he's just doing his job, so, I didn't press him. Since its really a Turbosmart unit, I'm sure its fine. It is on the large size, and the Cobb would give me more clearance. But, I'll just keep what I got for now.
