Mismatched serial numbers?

Hello I recently bought an AP that was used, when I try and use maps I have made with ATR it says they are locked to serial number 535 which are the last 3 numbers in the serial number on the back of my AP. But in the about screen the serial number is 2436. Does anyone have any insight on what to do?

Just confirming for you that AFAIK they should match-

The sticker on my AP, and AP Manager>AP Info both show the same Serial on mine. Additionally, the ATR title bar also indicates the same serial # at the top left

Here are the pictures of mine, something I just noticed is that the sticker on the back of this AP is smaller than the one on the back of my old one. I'm not sure why that is.

It's interesting that you can still see the outline from the original, larger serial number sticker. I wonder if it got returned to Cobb to be unmarried from a car or something?

I'm sure it's nothing exciting.....

That sticker on the back isn't the Serial number. It looks like it's been removed.

Request ATR with: 4210002435 and your email.

If this goes south, PM me the guy who sold it you here, and their FS thread. Then open a dispute in VIP Member Debate, as well as Paypal before 45 days, especially if this is friggin married or something.

I'm still curious why it has the wrong serial number sticker on the back of the AP, or why the sticker was changed/replaced.

I'm glad David was able to correct the issue with just a corrected serial in ATR tho, and I'm still sure it's no big deal. Just odd...

I had to change it to 4210002436 but now everything is working well, thank you very much!

Any idea as to why the sticker was removed and this one was put on?
