(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Hi all. Having an intermittent issue with the speedo on my '04 MSM. Usually starts out fine, then the speedo needle stops and starts a few times, then quits altogether, usually after 15-30 minutes. Next day, after sitting all night, it usually starts right up again and runs the same pattern. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!! |

| Not Ranked : 0 score *Puts on flame suit* I used to drive a 1st gen dodge neon a while back and they were notorious for having a similar issue. The solder points for the speedo would crack and you had to pull it, disassemble and reflow all the points. It may be worth pulling the gauge cluster out and checking for that. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score ^ lol, the MSM wasn't built in America, so I highly doubt some redneck did the soldering causing it to fail so quickly. This is how you can repair the sensor that is failing. May want to buy a new one just in case you screw the pooch. NB Speedometer Generator Repair - ClubRoadster.net

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Thanks a bunch. Sounds like it's EXACTLY what's going on with mine. Question for me is, do I attempt repairing the old one or just replace with a new unit. Will have to ponder that but one way or another, it will be fixed. Thanks!! |
