(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score ![]() hello to all. My '08 CX-7 2.3L turbo has an issue that causes the vehicle to lose power and shut off after only approximately 30-45 minutes of driving (even at highway speeds) or simply idling. In addition, it may take approx. another 2-3 hours for the car to start again inorder to drive another 30-45min. before repeating the same issue. If you try to restart right after it shuts off, it just keeps turning but not start. Oddly, you have to wait atleast 30 min to successfully start the CX-7 again and even then you would only be able to drive for approx 5-10 minutes before shutting off once again. A bit of background: - Motor has just had a head & valve job by local mechanic and machine shop. - In addition to the headjob and after informing the mechanic about the issue, fuel pump, fuel injectors, thermostat, radiator, intercooler as well as sparkplugs have been replaced. Any Suggestions Out There. PLEASE HELP !!! Not sure what can be the problem: pcm, reprogramming, relay, electrical ? Also, here's another fun-fact. The radiator fan is no longer switching on, even at +190F. Although it used to work properly when the head/valvejob was first completed (the 1st day), it now seems like the are not functioning. |
