Default CX-7 Won't Start When Hot

Ok so my parents own a 08 CX-7, and they are having an intermittent starting issue with it. Whenever the car is driven for awhile and parked for a short time (like driving 20 minutes and running into the grocery store) it won't start. When I say won't start, they turn the key and nothing happens, not even the click from the solenoid on the starter. They have to let it sit for a few hours and it starts right up.

My only thoughts are that the starter is taking a dump or the electrical connections to the starter are corroded. Anybody experience anything like this on their CX/MS3/MS6?

I remember reading that the speeds sometimes have the corrosion on the terminals, but I didn't know if there was any CX7 specific advice.

You could try checking to see if the cut off switch from the remote start is not staying engaged even after alarm is deactivated , had similar problem with my friend cx7. He ended up buying a new one.

Hope this helps!

Default 2007 CX-7 Wont start hot

My CX-7 will not start after being driven for a while and brought up to temperature , once I shut it off the lights etc still work but no cranking , just a very faint click , wait 15 minutes and it starts right up .... very frustrating .... any suggestions on what to check , cleaned the battery terminals but no help ....

Thanks
