(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score $_1.JPG It was coming from between the mani and head at the yellow line so i pulled the manifold. By looking at the surface on the head and the gasket it appears to have been coming from the sideways t shaped hole in the head, circled in red. Is this an oil passage that is sealed by the exhaust manifold gasket? atkdffr-4.jpg TIA! Last edited by spoolnwhips; 11-20-2016 at 02:56 PM. Reason: corrections |

| Not Ranked : 0 score It's probably from up above that at the valve cover gasket. Have you had it off recently? Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score No definitely not coming from the v.c. I caught it right after it started leaking as it actually caught on fire it is not a slow leak and I have not had the valve cover off in this picture you can see the trail where the leak was it actually started to wash out the exhaust Port that it was leaking into in this picture you can see this thing on the head where it was leakingIMG_20161120_183155601_HDR.jpg |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Oil shouldn't be in there. You sure that's the source? Is there oil pooled in that port...is the spark plug in that cylinder wet? Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk How's the car run, besides the massive oil leak? Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score No the closer you get to the valves the dryer it gets only wet at the edge of the port and it looks like the port divide has been washed off a bit. I guess the head gasket could be leaking into the t section. Arrgh guess it's time for a leak down... The car ran fine and wasn't smoking from the exhaust the engine was just starting to get loud from low oil when I shut it off other than that it ran great. On second thought there was a trail of light smoke from behind the car but not a thick fog. It may have been burning some of it but up untill now I had figured it was burning off the exhaust externally Last edited by spoolnwhips; 11-20-2016 at 06:13 PM. | Not Ranked : 0 score You might want to try cranking it over with the exhaust mani off. Use flood clear mode so it doesn't fire (gas pedal to floor while cranking). You might be able to circulate enough oil to see where it's leaking from. Second person would be handy. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Got it to crank for 15 sec or so now it won't crank anymore. It did this once before when I replaced the turbo and was priming the new one, had to wait a while before it would.crank again.. did not build enough pressure to see a leak. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Damnit finaly got it to start seeping by cranking it. Bad news there's a crack through the port upwards and through the top of the head. Bs the car was full on fluids well maintained and had only been running for 2-3 minutes when it cracked I remember hearing a pop noise from the turbo area stopping at a light. Got on highway and by the end of the ramp I had smoke In the cabin. Phate, Thank-you VERY much for your help! Last edited by spoolnwhips; 11-20-2016 at 07:47 PM. | Not Ranked : 0 score Sucks to hear, but at least you didn't run it out of oil and take out the bottom end. Keep us posted on what you decide to do, or if you need help sorting that out. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
