Is there always a chatter at idle? (VVT vs. Normal vs. HPFP)?

I bought a 2008 Mazda Cx-7 AWD with 112K on it.

Drives fine.

At idle, you hear it if you go to the drivers side of the motor.

It is more obvious in the back of the passenger side of the motor.

You can hear it while in park while inside the car.

From my research and seeing DOZENS of people replace the VVT and still have same noise, and dozens of people say they all make a noise I am unsure if:

1) VVT
2) HPFP
3) Normal

Engine sounds healthy just has a little chatter/click noise (hard to describe) like normal fuel injectors running.

No check engine lights....Is the VVT noise absurdly unhealthy sounding and very obvious?

I will get a video, upload to YouTube, and bump this thread in about 2 hours or less (not home at moment).

Our engines make a lot of noise. Most of the bad issues can be heard from in the car.

I find that every time I work on my car, I listen harder and hear more noise.

I always find these questions funny. When I had my shop customers would call up and they would describe the sound to me over the phone. Like I was going to be able to tell them over the phone. If you really think there is a problem take it to the dealer and have it checked out. Cost is about $100. Everyone on this site is shooting in the dark.
