(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score The new GTX line of turbos from Garrett have gained quite a bit of interest in this forum lately. They are already very popular among the EVO and STI crowd due to huge successes in making big power on mid framed turbos. Here's a little info on them if you don't know already. The new GTX turbo from Garrett shares all the same components as the GT line of turbos with the exception of the compressor wheel. The fitment and size of the turbo does not change. The only difference is the compressor wheel. It is a billet, 11 blade wheel that is more aerodynamic and flows more air. It's lighter, stronger, more aerodynamic, and better flowing. You are able to upgrade any of the mid frame turbos to this wheel which includes the GT3071R, GT3076R, or GT35R. All the dimension of the turbine and compressor wheels and housing stay the same which allows the fitment to be the same. Like I said, it's only a redesign of a new compressor wheel. Please PM us for pricing or more questions and information on both the GT and GTX turbos. Here's a picture of a GT style turbo compared to a GTX style turbo. You can clearly see the difference in compressor wheels. The wheel on the GT has 12 blades but half are receded below the larger blades. The GTX has 11 of the same size blades. rfinkle2 likes this.

As far as Nator guys in your city, some cities haven't developed like others with the whole Nator thing so it's tough to find someone. But I'm sure there are plenty of guys that own other cars like evo's and sti's that would be more than willing to help. Just make sure they know what they are doing.
