(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  BNR Turbos now In Stock at EdgeAutosport! By now, everyone has heard of the BNR turbo upgrade for the Mazdaspeed 3 and 6. It is a lower cost turbo upgrade that offers a pretty decent bang for the buck. $1099 gets you a nice boost in performance and offers a great replacement for the stock K04. The benefit of the BNR upgrade is the increased shaft size, shorter shaft, bigger bearings, better thrust bearing assembly, better turbine wheel, and more efficient compressor wheel. These things combine to make for a much more reliable turbo. No question this upgrade is far more superior to the original equipment turbocharger on the Mazdas. One of the most appealing aspects of the BNR turbo is the stock turbo like response with the added top end performance. It will change the way your Mazdaspeed drives, but only for the better! | Not Ranked : 0 score I used STD smoothing 1 because this dyno reads a bit low - SAE smoothing 5 is 370/374, but a bolted and tuned Coyote made 370/370 on it as well. Trap speeds back up the STD numbers with 117.92 @ 3487lbs 2800 DA. Coupled with the awesome Freektune, it does some work for a little big turbo.

I swapped to a catless DP after the fact, didn't contact my tuna. It was holding 24.5psi, now it's a fuzz over 25psi, but spools more quickly and makes a shitload more power throughout. Torque also increased into the somewhat ass puckering range ~390wtq. If/when I ZZB, it sure won't be my tuners fault  You can plainly see BEC intervention on the top 3 pulls, trying to make it play within boost targets.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I love me some BNR turbo. FYI, for anyone interested, I just got my BNR S3 through a strict emissions visual inspection with ease; the stock TIP can be adapted to fit the BNR S3 inlet and the turbo looks bone stock.
