exhaust issue

hi, can someone help me out here, i think you guys may have accidentally sent me an obx exhaust. the fitament is off and its banging on the back, and also there are no ultimate racing logos on the exhaust like all other authentics i have seen. please get back to me asap.

IMO if it doesn't say UR on it, I'd ask for refund or exchange. IMO, does not look like the UR exhaust. The UR exhaust looks like a bunch of small pieces of tubing welded together. That looks like speed daddy exhaust IMO.

looks similar, just my tubing looks weird and i have no logos at all

only pic of the tips i have, but there are no logos on the tips

I also received my UR TBE exhaust, and on the catback there is no Ultimate racing writting anywhere, I checked the tips everything, and also not sure on the fitment since one of my hangers ends up approx 1mm from the frame which rattles sumtimes which makes it fucking annoying. But there was a UR decal when I took the wrapping off. Got it off Edge.

Possible bad batch?

Have you called UR yet? They would be able to answer any questions. Doubt they would let an exhaust ship without their brand on it.. Thats free advertisement they are losing.

And OP your looking at refund(for the difference) more than likely since you've already installed it.

I thought it was my mistake from not tightening it properly everywhere that made the hanger come so close to the frame. I mean it fixable, grinding the hanger just a bit, but I also have nothing that says UR on the parts.

Thing that is weird is that to save me custum fees Eric sent the invoice or w-e to UR because I ordered threw EDge and the package that contained my UR tbe was marked that it came directly from UR in Toronto. Yet i have absolutly no UR marking on my tips or anything, but when I was taking off the bubble wrap from the tip section, there was an UR decal that I got but thats it, and like op's post, I also have a rattle from a hanger being too close to the frame. Ill be doing dp and tp tomorow on a lift so it would be noce to know if I got the right UR parts.

Mean since you've already installed the part. I highly doubt any company would take that back, would refund you the difference in prices between the UR and whatever they sent you. But Edge is a good company so they would most likely take the bite on this.. If its even a screw up. Since now I'm reading it shipped directly from UR, it's their mistake.

Yes then again it did come directly from UR, and they only sell UR products but why we have no marking whatsoever except a decal and the same rattle which would lead me to think it is a fitment issue possibly? Unless it will fix itself once i put dp and tp friday ( today). Now i dont believe we would have to tag Eric or Jp in this because this is there section, im just really hoping to get an answer. Would suck dick to find out perhaps theres an issue and i gotta put back my oem catback with its rusty bolts. It does sound exactly like the UR so perhaps it was just a new way UR decided to produce there exhausts now " no markings", and for the rattle i have no idea other then i can grind off a bit of the hanger so it wont hit the frame. Exited for response.

i have gotten TP and DP from UR and they both come packed the way you guys are describing. it looks like there are definitely some fitment issues... you can't bend that hanger away from the chassis?

had the same issue with the rattling. i guess there is a fitment issue. since i didn't have the tools, i had our family mechanic grind off some of the hanger beneath the driver seat and that seemed to work.

mine is rubbing there, but theres a loud ass banging by where the rear tow hook is on the frame, i had mistaken it for a blown strut it hit so loud. sounds like someone is taking a sledge to my rear end

That sucks. They must of redesigned. I have no fitment issues with mine, nothing rubs. But I got it in 2010.

Well today I installed my UR dp and test pipe, and I undid the midpipe and everything to tight everything properly and I got no more rattle, just dont have any marking of UR on them. Dp is honestly the biggest bitch, I heard it was bad and now I can confirm fuckkkk.

Sorry guys we were moving so I couldnt reply til now. What is posted in the pics is a UR exhaust. We dont carry OBX products so its not one of those

If you guys are having fitment issues we need to contact UR and get this sorted out, we get all our products shipped from them directly as it is to hard to stock parts that are always built to the customers specifications

If they dont have proper labeling on them I will make sure and send them the pics once we get the shop back up after the move. If you want give UR a call they are very helpful and could probably answer your questions but once were all settled here I will give them a call myself.

UR must have changed the design. Those mufflers look Nothing like my UR exhaust I just took off and sold today. UR mufflers have a clean edge, not what looks like an extra strip of metal wrapped around the edges. The exhaust I pulled off the buyers speed looks just like the ones pictured. Sadly no idea what it is. I would call UR to confirm a design change or find out why the tips don't have their brand on it.

@blakkat Hey there, thanks for letting us know about the issue. There's no question it's an UR exhaust so I wouldn't be worried about that. A lot of companies hand make their products so every part comes out barely different even as minute of a difference as it is. It doesn't surprise me it doesn't have a badge because whoever welds them might have just simply had an oversight and forgot. It there truly is a fitment issue, that is something UR will have to help with. We'll call them today and get back to you with an answer. They might have a quick solution to this if they've seen it many times before. I'll send them a link of this thread so they can more easily see the pics.

Ok sir, here is UR's response. By the pictures, it looks like this is the exact problem.

Is the problem that the hanger is slightly too long and causing it to rub/rattle? If so, my apologies. If the customer wants we can handle the issue, but I would need it to be sent back to us obviously.

Also, they explained the logo issue and they did have a recent batch of parts without the logo on it so they are aware of that issue. So even though it doesn't have the logo, rest assured it is a UR exhaust.

You will not be responsible for shipping if you'd like UR to fix it but you'll need to send it in first in order to get a replacement. Let me know if that's what you'd like to do. There's also the possibility of you getting it fixed by yourself which would help you with the down time of not having the exhaust on there but that's totally up to you and it's not a problem for UR to fix the issue.

Damn UR must be having issues lately.. ive had mine on for about 5 months now with no fitment issues.. go it from Jp as well.. Although mine does have the logos on the pipes.. the only complaint ive had on the CBE was a slight rattle at idle, because the first right bend from the mid pipe slightly touches the heat shield..

other then that its been doing great.

This is my second UR exhaust. I agree the first one I bought about 6 months ago was perfect.

This one fitment issues and no logos (not a big deal). Almost like they didnt want their name on this bad batch
