HKS USA - The end of the road.

I'm sure some of you guys have heard. Although HKS USA doesn't have a huge role in the performance aftermarket of the Mazdaspeed 3 I still thought it was a huge deal today when I found out that HKS USA is officially closing up shop. All of the remaining US operations will be moving back to Japan. It's a very disappointing but understandable announcement considering the state of today's economic struggles. We all know how much HKS has to do with the advancement of the sport compact performance industry over the last couple decades so it's sad to see them go. HKS will remain in Japan however and most parts will still be available but as operations change, so does general availability and pricing. It will be interesting to see how HKS resumes business. One thing is for sure...EdgeAutosport.com is here to stay and we are working our hardest to make this industry better in all ways possible. Let's all hope this is the worst that happens among the glorified companies of our industry.

I found it strange when I heard HKS was leaving... Although I will say at the same time it seems like HKS has fallen off the map in the last few years... All I really hear from them now is bpv's and exhausts. I guess its time to hop on a brand new ssqv v3 and not use it and then sell it when no one has them anymore? Haha.
