Default Kozmic Motorsports Precision V-band Downpipe at EdgeAutosport

Yes, you read that right! Kozmic just released a downpipe that fits the Precision Turbo V-band discharge. What does that mean you ask? That means that running a Precision Turbo on your Mazdaspeed 3 just got a thousand times easier!

Now there is a way to pretty much make a Precision turbo a bolt on turbo with no fabrication necessary. And yes, I'm about to tell you how.

cp-e offers a precision flanged version of their LRT Exhaust Manifold - $854.05

Kozmic offers an Oil Return Line as well as an Oil Feed Line for a Precision Turbo. - $199.98 for both

Kozmic also offers a 44mm Dump tube that fits with cp-e manifold and their downpipe and a Tial MVR 44mm Wastegate. - $139.99 ($519.98 with the MVR WG)

And last but not least you just need to pick up any Precision Turbo with a V-band Turbine Inlet and Outlet.

Total for the parts not including the turbo or intake (of which there are several choices).

Manifold - $854.05
Downpipe - $539
Oil Feed/Return - $199.98
Dump Tube - $139.99
44mm WG - $379

Total: $2112.02

All this together makes for an awesome Turbo setup at a bargain price considering what you get.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Edge,

Could you guys find out if this downpipe will fit properly for those who want to go with a Garret turbo and utilize the Tial V-Band hotside with the CP-e manifold?

From my understanding these will not fit on the flange aspect. Tial, Garrett, and precision all use there own "style" vband flange.

This down pipe was specifically fabricated for the precision vband inlet outlet turbos on a cpe ltr exhaust manifold. I'm not saying it might not work on another style setup utilizing a precision turbo.

This down pipe is top quality, welds, design, bung placements this is one of if not the nicest production down pipes for our cars.

I know that.

What I meant was if the DP can be made to order with the appropriate flange.

The tial hotside and precision Vband hotsides are not very different in size and geometry and considering the CPe manifold places them in the same location, it may work.

Hoping to find out.

I don't see why they wouldn't offer it with a different flange. David at Kozmic is an awesome guy, he can talk your ear off if you'd let him .

I have this setup, I purchased it from David... @EdgeAutosport.com; The kozmic primary egr block off is also necessary to make this whole setup fit. And as far as this dp working with a Garrett turbo idk if it would happen. These pte turbos sit alot lower than the Garrett's. @ms3blackmica;

Your also going to have to either chop a exhaust manifold stud or use a bolt instead on one of the studs on the egr side for the compressor housing to fit.

You will have to remove both heat shields off the alternator as well for the pipe to fit, I would highly suggest wrapping the down pipe and the dump tube to keep temps down.

My hot pipe was also custom fabricated to fit the pte turbo it sits alot lower like I said.

As far as the downpipe, dump tube, oil feed & return lines everything is top notch quality on kozmic's part and David is a great guy to do business with.

This is actually my fault for not telling Alan to include this information. David @ Kozmic actually did fully disclose us on this stuff but we forgot to include it in the post. Sorry about that.

So to recap, it ONLY fits with the Precision Vbands, you must delete the EGR completely (which Kozmic has a solution for, Primary EGR Delete), and you do need a shorter stud like mentioned before.

We'll make sure we take care of people when they order this and make sure they know what's going on.

Default Kozmic Motorsports Precision V-band Downpipe at EdgeAutosport

Your better off using a bolt instead of a shorter stud or cutting the existing stud but either will work.

And you will have a issue with your hot pipe.

If you use a bolt, make sure you also use a flat washer and a lock washer to keep it from backing out. But yes, this is the better option.

I didn't see the kozmic dp on the site. Wandering if it's catted or not and if it's a long dp or short.
