| Not Ranked : 0 score Most companies sell the h beam as the stronger rod and without actual dimensions we can't infer this. The description on the site labels the h beam as economical without giving any specs.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I believe it has to do with how and where the rods are made. I believe the I-beams are made in America while the H-beams are farmed out to somewhere else. They are likely made along side K1 and eagle rods. |

| Well, I tried calling Manley to get a better explanation on this and I referred him to that picture I posted since he had actually seen that comparison online on the corvette forums where I found it. He said it is a very good example and the representation of difference in design and showing how strength is actually different between the 2

| Not Ranked : 0 score Carrillo makes a lower power rating A beam. These rods are also A beams as they flare out near the big end.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I've always thought they were more like A-Beams, but Manley calls them I-Beams so thats what we sell them as. |

| Yeah, I agree. Every company sells them differently there is no "industry" standard name for rods. The turbo Tuffs are I beam, they look like the Carillo A beams. Then the Manley I beams are there highest rated rods, and Carillo rates there H beams higher than there A beams.
