Does the stage 1 come with a gasket kit directly from mazda? As in are they oem gaskets?

I'm hoping it's quite some time before I need this service, but it sure is nice to have it simplified for when the day comes.

Yes all the gaskets and seals are OEM.

Yeah, the bigger turbo, PI/meth kit, intake Mani, T3/T4/tial conversion... All that shit adds up :(

you might beable to have a short block for around 3k, but a completely longblock would be like 5-8k depending on parts selection and application for the motor.

Was refering to when it was suggested to join mazdaspeed motorsports to get these same parts for 40% off by phate. Hence why I said I am already a member.

Hey guys, we did censor this, not trying to hide anything. We know and understand there are other options out there and we never criticize people for going to someone else. However, it doesn't make sense for us to pay MSF to have the privilege to post up in our own section and then have members tell everyone to go somewhere else inside of here.

Anyone is more than welcome to shop around but no one has made it this easy to understand and purchase what is required to go build a motor successfully. We get calls on a weekly basis asking, "what do I need to build my motor?" and this is designed to help those people.

Just to clarify, if Mazda Motorsports offers better prices, by all means, you have the right to purchase from them. We don't get the same pricing they do. We have an account with a local Mazda dealership that we buy our OEM parts from. We charge much less than MSRP which is what most people would have to pay for walking into a dealership AND we pay for the shipping.

I just want to make sure everyone understands why we deleted that post. If anything, it's a legitimate post but it just belongs in a different section. Hopefully that makes sense.

This is exactly why you will more than likely still sell these kits. Some people are either to lazy, feel its to hard for them to understand, or just dont have the time to do it the harder cheaper way. There are tons and tons of threads on motor builds and what is needed for them. Some people just dont want to spend the time or effort.

I highy doubt that post would have made any dent in the sales of this kits. which is why i question your censorship. Sure this is your section that you pay for you can do whatever you like as long as its inside your agreement. I just dont see a need to delete it when its more than likely not going to hurt your sales. Usually you are pretty stand up guys trying to steer people in the best direction for them. That post deletion seemed out of Character for what i normally see from edge

For some weird reason, if we order the 2012 or 2013 engine gasket kit, which has it's own unique part number, it costs way more. I'm not sure what the differences are so I'll call Mazda today to get a breakdown of the parts included in the kit. I know the 2010-2011 kits will fit with the 2012-2013 but there might be more parts in the newer gasket kit. Hang tight. I'll have an answer today.

Okay here are the differences.

Gasket kit listed for 2010-2011 Year Models MS3 includes:
- Exhaust Valve Seals (8)
- Intake Valve Seals (8)
- HPFP Cam Housing Gasket (to head)
- PCV Gasket
- Valve Cover Gasket
- Head Gasket
- Front Oil Seal
- Intake Manifold Gasket (to head)
- Fuel Injector O-Ring (on top side of injector)
- Exhaust Manifold Gasket (to head)
- Oil Pump Pickup Tube O-Ring
- Oil Drain Tube Inlet Gasket (turbo)
- Oil Drain Tube Outlet Gasket (turbo)
- Oil Filter Housing Gasket (to block)
- Water Pump Gasket (internal)
- Water Pump Gasket (to inlet)
- Water Pump Gasket (to outlet)
- EGR Gasket

The 2012-2013 Gasket Kit comes with all those parts PLUS:
- O-Rings for fuel rail hard feed line (3)
- Grommets for fuel injectors (4 per injector)
- Gasket for turbo inlet (manifold to turbo)
- Gasket for turbo outlet (turbo to downpipe)
- Gaskets for oil feed line (4, to turbo)
- Gaskets for water feed and drain lines (4, to turbo)

So really, you can order either one depending on what gaskets you want to get. They fit all generations. It's just a matter of what gaskets you want.

Anybody looking to build their motor soon? Make sure you have all the parts you need ahead of time to save on down time and unnecessary headaches!

If you are worried about all the little bits you need to put your engine built or OEM back together, you can stop. We have done the work for you!

You guys should do a Staqe 4 with OEM head and main bolts. I'll be in touch to order one of these setups soon I think.

We could add that as an option to all the kits.

I agree on the stage 4. In about two weeks I will be looking to order this with pistons and rods.
