Howdy JP,

Sorry I attempted to PM you but was met with the 15 post quota.

I need a quote if you would be so kindly to provide. My car is a 2013 MS3 w/ about 1300 miles on the odometer. Currently the only parts I have purchased are some Denso ITV22's and Cobb AP. I did attempt to purchase some autotech internals but for some reason I had some difficulty on your site and I have a pending transaction through my card that I'm waiting to clear. I called your location and was told the order wasn't visible so I'm assuming I should see this "pending" charge evaporate here soon. However, that's neither here nor there.

Anyways what I want to do is upgrade to a BT and not waste any time or resources with the k04. Reliability w/o needing to prep my car for emissions testings is of primary concern. My goals are around 350whp without changing much of the stock exhaust. However, once this car isn't my Daily Driver I'd like to have some sort of future upgrade path. I'm partial to the GT3071R but I'm torn between it and the GTX3071R.

What turbo and parts would you recommend? Is there anyway I can get an out-the-door quote? Keep in mind I already have a Cobb AP.

No problem at all. Here's my recently adopted opinion of the GT vs GTX conversation. Unless you plan on running really high boost, I'd get a GT if you want to spend less. The GTXs seem to flow around the same in the lower pressure ratios (boost levels) compared to the GTs. HOWEVER, even though they flow similar at lower to mid boost, the GTX is doing it easier but they seem to really flow better in the higher boost areas.

If you're looking at a GT3071 to do 350whp, I think the GTX is overkill. But that's not to say it's a bad choice. I'm all for going a little overboard for a nicer product if it doesn't compromise performance in any way. The GT3071 will still give you 50-75whp of headroom if you ever want to turn it up too.

edit: yes it will cost more than GT3071.. but you will gain low end torque and fast spool up characteristics. This compressor flows very similar to the GT3071's, but is more efficient, and has a smaller turbine side (and will easily hit mid 300s)

This is a great idea that we have tried to push but haven't had much interest in. Stay tuned for this. We'll be putting out some info soon.

The price difference between gtx28 and gtx3071 is just not enough to warrant the purchase of gtx28 considering the headroom the 30 would have. I kicked around the idea of a 28 but I have the same conclusion every time.

I searched around other platforms and the gtx28 doesn't seem to be popular anywhere. Stock wrx vf52 is almost as good as the gtx28.

I'm not exactly in Winston but I do make it there QUITE often. I would have purchased the car there if it weren't for the douches ignoring me there and forcing me to try and take a black vehicle. That and I couldn't pass up 24k for a 2013 white w/ tech package I got from a dealer in Charlotte.

If i can get 4 more posts here I'll send you a PM JP about what kind of quote I'm looking for. Looking to make a purchase between now and the next 7 days. I just want to make 1 single purchase and get everything versus buying from several different vendors. SO i'm shopping around.
