I was on a 3" intake on my k04 and made 360 / 342 iirc and I was no where near pegging the maf.

It is hard to say exactly because each set-up is a little different. In this case, I feel like we can hit Matt's goals on a 3" maf housing.

I think Matt's goal is to have 350 hp on tap with a very stock appearing car.

We are trying to do that and stay on a budget.

Some things may need to be swapped down the road, but for now, I think we are OK with the CS housing.

I have a dd/work car, but there are plenty of cold spring/fall days that could sneak up on me in the ms3. So meth will most likely be in my future this fall.

Yeah. That's one thing I can't stand right now is the amount of miles I put on my car. 3-400 a week...I know there are guys that put on way more than that, but to me that's a lot and I hate it lol.

Maybe Rob will have a different opinion, but imo, keep your meth setup simple. I have a cheap DO stage 1 kit and see no reason why I should upgrade. Single nozzle, and no fancy controller.

Only thing I might buy one of these days is a failsafe. But honestly im not worried.

Matt has a number in mind, and a particular way he wants the car to feel.

Until the install is done, and we start tuning, it is hard to say what we will / won't need.

Matt has a budget for his build, and rather than accumulate parts that we aren't sure we need, he is getting the essentials first.

I was talking to Matt and we agreed that there is really no end if you want to increase the efficiency of a given set-up, meaning that a larger intake may very well be beneficial, but I don't think we will need it.

We are going to try to hit 350 with minimal modifications to the battery box, ecu location etc.

Rob hit the nail on the head. Pregnant wife is dictating the budget (feel free to harass) and I'm also interested in seeing how this turbo pans out as a nearly "drop in bt setup".

Was reading through your thread and I just remembered that when @atvfreak; installed his BNR he was on the Corksport intake to about 360-370 HP maybe a little more but like Finkle has said different setups will be different. just some food for thought.

I'm going to assume he had an aftermarket dp on his car. We will soon find out the limitations of my stocker!

This is correct without going through his thread to verify i believe he was on the V1 Ultimate racing two piece pipe. At the time he was making the power figures stated above he was on simple full bolt on status with a meth kit.

I would 100% agree with a well sorted out tune which is without question in your case. There has also been a couple people on hear that has had some results with gutted stock pipes. I personally am not to informed on results in this department but this may be one of those options right up the budget alley!!!

If I was really hunting a few extra hp I'd pick up an eBay dp vs. gutting mine.

I just bought mine at the dealer. That way I can easily return if mine are in good condition. Here are the part numbers.

The top is the dp gasket and the middle is the turbo to manifold gasket. Disregard the bottom number, that is for my bumper guard.

The gaskets can be purchased from edge auto and you might be able to use the discount code and save a few dollars. I image edge would take the return, but dealer might be the way to go if you intend to return them if yours are ok.

1. ATP GT2871 Turbo - $1425 - arrived!
2. 3 BAR MAP Sensor - $90 - installed
3. 4in to 2.25in coupler (turbo to CS TIP) - $17 - arrived!
4. Antifreeze - not ordered
5. Turbo to manifold gasket (just in case) - $67 - arrived!
6. Turbo to DP gasket (just in case) - $20 - arrived!
7. HTP heater core hose extension - $16 - arrived!
8. Oil return line - creating
9. 4'' clamp - on the way!

As many swivels as you can find and multiple different depth 14mm sockets.

Arent the ATP nuts 15 mm? Are you aware of the new position of the compressor outlet? Its about 3 inches lower than the K04.

A closed ended slightly offset 14mm wrench will help alot the manifold removal/install.

15 mm open ended wrench for the bottom nut on the downpipe to turbo.

Also, while you have everything out, don't forget a bit of heat management. Blanket or coat.

I assumed the outlet was lower based upon the length of the supplied silicone coupler.

I am hoping to do this install without pulling the exhaust manifold....

This, makes all the difference.

I would have on hand 2 sets of impact swivels 3/8" and 1/2" (and various extensions). Also, I assume ATP turbo came with new crush washers for oil and coolant lines (2) sizes 8 total, may wanna check just to be sure
