Need some fat bitches to sit over your axles - or just tune it for drivability instead of dyno queen / tire destroyer status. Dynojet probably would've been okay, the load on that Mustang roller isn't going to help.

Ha figured some panties would bunch up.

Anyways nothing really answered. Cleanest run was 5th gear and pulled out of it. 495whp at around 5000rpms. I was told the dyno reads around 10 or so percent lower than a dynojet. Bone stock 2013 speed dynoed 220 and bone stock 2012 sti dynoed 230 on this mustang dyno.

So assuming just an 8 percent difference between this dyno and a dynojet that's around 570wtq @4700rpms and 535whp @5k rpms. It's making some power. I need to fix a few things. FLow and Fuel and traction.

Not even sure. I'm really the wrong person to ask. What exactly is it? The Dyno in question was a Mustang AWD 150 Dyno.

The more I look at their historical dynos the more I feel comfortable with the numbers. The owner of the shop said a "stage 3" gtr - whatever that actually means - dynos 500whp on his dyno.

I'll seek out a dynojet for those feel good numbers.

I haven't received it yet. I was told it would be emailed. I honestly don't even really care since it was a complete fail. 4 or so runs in 4th blew the tires off and the 5th gear pull started getting so much spark blowout (popping/cutting) the run was aborted.

Gonna fix my shit and get another run at it.

took out the plugs and they look a little warm to me. I may drop to another step colder plug but I'll try the .022in gap first. All of mine had widened to a minimum of .030 and one had widened to nearly .035in. Now they all are .022in.

Ha got the graph. It looks like it keeps getting cock blocked every time it attempts to recover from a blowout. The moment load peaked (peak tq) something wasn't jiving. It was probably my .034in sparkplug gap going mandingo on my couch.

Believe that fixed my cut. I gained around .05v or so in MAFv and some calc load. Also, IDC's went to 119 percent. I'm not out of fuel at the moment. I'm over extended.

fuck this JMF install with a double headed dildo. Fuck those allen head bolts. Fuck that middle bolt. Fuck that belt tensioner and fuck that fitment.

This is as far as I'm going today. Tomorrow evening it's wire tuck, do the vacuum lines and put the BPV and intake back where they belong. Luckily I already done the PCV.

Ha apparently you have to use threaded sealer paste on the FP sensor adapter. FML. It comes back off tomorrow. I'm gonna waste 2 hours of daylight getting 5 bolts loose.

Just keep envisioning the gains. That'll help make the shitty fitment and miserable install more acceptable.

A few observations post JMF installation day 1.

-Cold start sucks balls. Remidns me of a cat hacking up a hairball. I thought I broke my car

-Small/minute counts of KR that would randomly occur at different points in the RPM band are now gone. We're talking around .3 to .7KR at different areas. Maybe it's better distributing my meth? I dunno.

-Extra flow is evident and measurable. Around 20g/s...and this is on a 2.5 inch exhaust none-the-less.

-spool seems to have been lost a tad. Keep in mind I had the VTCS still installed with the stock IM. It's nothing major. Around 2-3psi at 4k rpms. I may be able to gain that back though with some WGDC and VVT tweaks.


Keep in mind I'm still on a 2.5 inch exhaust for the most part.

Tiny KR probably from VCTS flapping around slightly. Really wish there was a version of the JMF for TMIC.

Whatever the case it seems to be gone now.

This is how it sits until I can do the wire tuck and trim the cep helihose. Any ideas on the best way to cut the recirc hose? Need it around 1 inch shorter since the JMF mani repositioned the BPV. And of course I have to complete the PI portion of the install. That is a WIP.

A few things of note:

1) Boost is a measure of pressure within a given volume, so you have more volume to fill in the JMF so boost readings will be lower, all things being equal. (i.e. no tune changes)
2) I'm sure you knew the tune would need to be modified for something as drastic as the JMF, so don't sweat it until you've had time to tweak the tune.
3) You might gain some benefit by shortening your boost control lines. i.e. my longest line is about 12"
4) My cold start on my PnPed OEM IM on E50 is horrible (even now at 90* ) so welcome to the non- VTCS club.


A log comparing WGDC to PSI would be a good indicator on how much improvement you can expect to gain. You can also tweak the VVT tables if you haven't done so.

All that to say I think you can improve on the boost response time.

See I'd expect a higher flowing intake mani to flow more in, and thus more out...making boost at the same WGDC to be higher. More volume = slower spool for sure, and that shows beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Just thinkin out loud though, so to speak.
