Nice build

What prep did you use before painting the emblem/grill?

Oem bumper, I wet sanded 800 grit paper. Then had it painted white and taped off the grill. Then after the bumper was painted white I taped it off and painted the grill black. The emblem I sanded and painted black at the same time as he grill. Turned out super nice!

So I have received just about every part I need other than the 3.5" intake and intercooler core. I still need to buy a 51r battery and some hoses the extend the coolant hoses by the turbo. But he's a picture of the manifold, wastegate, and the turbo. Ill post many more pix of these items during the install.

Finally got around to installing all the parts other than the tr8 core because its on back order. I had extra powder left so I removed the gold tape from the intercooler piping and powdercoated them chrome. Then I also powdercoated the intake candy purple to match my valve cover. Install went pretty smooth other than the wastegate, its a pita to install especially those vband clamps. I welded myself a dump pipe and it looks like crap but works great. I might have someone make me a new one later down the road. I'm tuning with @ms3blackmica Nishan. Currently running a base map he sent me while I wait for the tr8 to come in. As soon as I receive the core we will begin tuning on 91octane because where I live we don't have 93 but we do have e85. So the real power is going to be made on e30 mix. Also I ordered the wastegate with a 14psi spring but instead they shipped me a 8psi spring so now I need to wait until I receive the 14psi spring. Other than that the car runs smooth! And the ewg is so dope I cant get enough of that sound!

Here are some pix!!

So its been awhile since I posted on here and a lot has happened. I ended up changing the wastegate to a pte 46mm with a 15psi spring. And later after a few weeks I finally received my tr8 core mid November. The install for the core was pretty easy, I ended up just making some brackets out of the existing cx-racing kit. I also added another occ from valve cover to intake just to be safe. After making sure the car ran fine with no leaks or problems I went ahead and emailed Nishan and we started the tuning process the next day. He was super fast to reply to emails and any questions I had for him. I got a new revised map everyday from him. Tuning was lots of fun seeing how it felt every time Nishan did his magic on the tune! After just about 2 weeks we were done with a 91 and an e30 tune. I don't think there was anymore power to be made without any aux fueling. Ill post the VD sheet below. I also added a rear diffuser to the car. I'm very happy with how the car is right now and couldn't be happier with the tune. Nishan did such a great job and the car is just so fun and smooth to drive! Unfortunately the stock clutch decided to start slipping so I will have to save up a for an ACT 6 puck. I don't want to risk replacing it with another stock clutch and having it go out too. Cant wait to have some fun on this car in the summer! Enjoy these pix!!

Haven't been updating this thread lately but the car has been awesome, got the clutch fixed and have been driving the car daily. The car has been a blast to drive but unfortunately I have to let her go in order to pay for college which I recently started back up this past semester. I will make a for sale thread if anyone is interested. Thanks!
