| Not Ranked : 0 score keep at it and hopefully it will break free. too late for you now but the way to get PB plaster to work the best is to spray it on warm (to the touch not HOT) parts. I guess the warmer surface combined with the rust eating catalyst in PB makes for a better environment for it to do it's work.

I have a torch... . Might need it. Ignorance is not bliss: With out any penetrating oil, I grabbed my O2 sensor tool broke the threads loose it started coming out. Then out of no where it stopped. I then decided it to be a good idea (6 beers in) to get my huge torque wrench and put it to 120 ft lbs (reverse) and pushed until it clicked. I then said to myself... Fuck that's a lot of feet. So I then tried to thread it back in... No dice. So I am just working it back and forth, back and forth, back and forth spraying wd-40. I'll have to get some PB blaster on my way home. I am pretty frustrated. Sent from my iPhone 6 | |

honestly as many O2 sensors as are cross threaded on these cars, i think the fucker installing them at the factory is either not qualified to put a bolt in a threaded hole or is doing it on purpose. though it could be a backhanded check for mods after a blown motor, Mazda Corporate: is the O2 cross threaded and seized? Tech: no came right out. Mazda: claim denied, it was cross threaded from the factory.

The trick is to try to remove it when the car is hot/warm too.

I have the old one with part of the DP threads somewhere at home. If I can get enough of the DP side of it off, I'll measure it to verify the size for you tonight.

If it's already this big if a pain in the ass, I'd source a tap to chase the threads too. The threads of the o2 are probably sheared off inside the bung. Sorry, tapasuck started me out 2 pages in.

I will tap tonight. It looks to me that the O2 sensor lost most of its threads in the downpipe. I will pick up a new O2 sensor on the way home from work. And some anti-seize. Even if I can clean the threads up on the sensor, I did get a lot of PB blaster on the probe itself, so I should get a new one anyway.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Its not really a stressed piece. If you can get it to thread back in and feel secure it should be fine. Aren't o2 Sensors like $200?

| Not Ranked : 0 score The front I'm not sure, I know the rear o2 sensor can be bought off Amazon for around $60. I know because I had to replace mine.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Amazon is only $60??? The local auto parts store tried to rape me $400 for a new one. But right now the 02 sensor is the least of my worries. I broke a socket trying to get the turbo support plate off and rounded the bolt head. My god they are way over torqued for that size of bolt head. Had to get a 3 foot cheater bar to break the first 2 loose. Then on the 3rd is where I broke a socket and now I am once again stuck. This had got to be the biggest pain in the ass that I have ever faced. My only move now is to remove my exhaust manifold, so I attempt to do so. Then get stuck on the last bolt that sits In front of the turbo. Its like something is telling my not to install this thing. Sent from my iPhone 6 |

| Not Ranked : 0 score You're having trouble with the bolts fastened to the cast iron parts? Are you using a 12 point socket or it rounded it off because the socket is Fucked off? Try using a 6 point, if you already aren't and tap it on with a hammer or whatever you can hit it with, be sure to squirt it with some penatrating fluid too. Btw, what pen fluid are you using?

@littleloogy; that sucks man. I'm sure Edge has replacement studs they could rush to you but still, bleh. If I ever abandon the K04 I'm ordering a replacement for every nut, bolt and stud with the turbo. You and @Raider; are getting the peen it would seem.
