| Not Ranked : 0 score My plans for my personal car would be to use torque for live data monitoring and flashing and logging with Versatune if I convert. To boil it down to the nitty gritty, if we can all be sure the software and maps perform without any glitches or bugs, the constant monitoring will be just peace of mind for the driver. |

Datalogging and parameters to the left Datalogging with all optional windows closed giving the datalogging window maximum space Graphing of all 12 logged parameters Graphing of RPM and Boost on a 2-3-4 gear log Tune editor with E85 Calc, Tables window is in "Dockable" mode by default. You can also choose "Floating" "Tabbed Document" "Auto Hide" "Hide" Tune editor with Auto Hide activated on the Tables window. Here's a bug that I'll see from time to time, tunes window freezes so tunes are not accessible. Fixes itself by restarting VT. Will be fixed with next update? (Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I don't leave it on. I just use it to flash tunes when I switch e85 mix and occasional logs. Ideally, you want a device with a full size USB for the J2534 and a micro usb for charging. That way you can charge at full current while you use it. There are micro usb adapters that allow low current charging while using the micro usb port for data. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score This is the one I have (Dell Micro USB Dongle 470-ABES). It needs to be a OTG adapter to work. If you want to charge at the same time you can connect the charger to the micro usb port on the adapter in the picture.

| Not Ranked : 0 score The only thing that sucks is when you total your vehicle your versatune goes POOF whereas an AP can be sold. But clearly there are many advantages to VT over AP especially as it was only thing that worked on CX7.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I'm sure the guys at VT would allow for that kind of situation (transfer of vin with proof of total). They do allow you to change ownership if you sell the car (VT stays with the car, but owners change).

| Not Ranked : 0 score We have actually had situations like these and we always transfer the VT license to the new car if the owner replaces the totalled car with another one supported by VersaTuner and can provide proof of the accident. |

The ECU and TCM work in tandem to control torque delivery, and some communication must be necessary to do so Attached is a table taken from a paper on the Aisin 6 speed automatic trans that showns the parameters that are being communicated between the ECU and TCM The CX-7 worshop manual also state that the car will go into fail-safe mode if there is ''malfunction of electronic parts of output and input system'' and ''short or open circuit in ATX wiring harness''

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score The VIN would stay the same, so we would work with you to transfer the license. You will have to write the CX-7 VIN to the MS6 ECU and resync all the modules - immobilizer, AKE, ICM, etc. You'll need IDS and a PATS code subscription. You'll have to rewire the engine harness for the external injector driver module that the MS6 ECU uses - MS3 and CX-7 are integrated into the ECU. The MS6 ECU is a totally different package and is mounted inside the car with totally different connectors. The MS6 ECU may or may not send the right broadcast data on the CAN bus for the instrument cluster. It may not communicate properly with the ABS, AWD and other modules too. There are manual trans CX-7s in Europe. I don't know if any are manual+AWD. It's a huge challenge. |
