Damn. Wish I had known about this earlier |
I was just refunded by Stratified tuning because they stated that VersaTune doesn't have sufficient logging resolution and not as many datalogging parameters in comparison to Accesport. Does VersaTune professional have improvements which narrow the gaps between AP and VersaTune and entice other professionals to want to tune with it? |
I have never had any issue tuning a car with the logging resolution of VersaTuner. It allows up to 16 concurrent logging parameters. 2.3 DISI doesn't have an in-cylinder pressure transducer, so I'm not sure what the extreme logging resolution is needed for. |

I'm curious what problem do you have and trying to fix and the logging resolution of the Versatuner is not enough (It logs like 12 params 4-5 times every second). |
I think the real reason is that Stratified are just Accessport only tuners. |

Interesting, maybe they are transitioning. I went to their website and this is the first thing I see when I look at DISI custom tunes: "How to Get Started on a Stratified Tune: - First, make sure you have a Cobb AccessPort. If you do not have a COBB AP, we can deliver these to you along with any other aftermarket parts you may need for your Mazda." |
Their site has always been like this, no mention on Versatuner anywhere. |
