Sorry been crazy slow on getting this thing dialed in. I haven't had a chance to start seeing if I gained anymore timing headroom or not with this.

As far as it moving none at all. I could maybe see it moving if you are running vta but with a bpv the recirc hose holds it it well. Also I tightened the shit out of the clamp on the turbo so its not going anywhere.

It seems that throttle response is a bit better this could just be nothing though.

The last log I put through VD was ~280hp and 310tq. And my tune is pretty conservative. I am having a bit of off throttle surging but I think its something that can be taken care of through tuning and its not bad by any means.

I would for sure recommend this intake to anyone be prepared to do a lot of maf cals but quality is great and HTP is great with customer service as well

Thanks for clearing this up for me! Yes, I plan on sticking with the BPV recirc hose.

Are you still working on your tune? I would imagine w/ a 3.5" you would break 300 if not more.

I haven't worked on it much other than getting the boost under control was over boosting like crazy once it was on. And getting the mad dialed in. Its a bit of a pita. And I seem to have lost my AP odb cable so I gota order that so I can continue.

I don't think I will hit 300 on 93. The 93 I get is 10% e so possibly but i keep my tune conservative this is my DD and I ax a lot so really don't want to push it to hard and be trying to find wheels and a motor build Lol.

Oh and my inner rice is completely satisfied. You will hear the turbo all the time now

Ahh I see. My inner ricer can't wait haha. Did you have an intake before this one, or were you stock? I'm going from a 2.5"-3.5" and already hear the spool, I can only imagine that an inch for more air to pass by will be louder haha

Yea u can its a tight fit. I think I have pics in this thread with it installed with stock tray. It fits mine was tweaked slightly which I think could have been fixed with some cable management. The htp batt tray is awesome though

I went from the COBB intake to the HTP 3.5" intake and it actually quieter. From what I have gathered it had something to do with the COBB velocity stack and the fact that I wrapped the HTP with heat reflective tape. The car definitely feels more responsive with the new intake. I also second using the values posted by @Lex; I tried just scaling my Maf Cal. but the car ran rough until I switched over. The values are also fairly spot on so little adjustment was needed in my case.

Oh what I meant is take a picture of the battery with the HTP tray. You mentioned that the oem battery was a bit too big for the HTP tray since they are sized for a 51r

As u can see not a tight fit at all with the tray. Just use the fartherest back holes for the ecu. I used the front most set and it was tight

@Deldran; Thanks for the pics man! I'm guessing the battery you have pictured isn't a 51R?

Anyone installed one of these on an MS6? I imagine i'd probably have to buy a 51r battery....luckily the intake comes with a battery bracket. Wondering if it's worth it to sell my CS SRI/TIP for one of these! I guess i could drop another $100 on top of the $374 for a battery. Having to buy a new battery is probably the biggest thing deterring me from switching over. I wish i could just use the same battery.

I went from the CS sri/tip to the HTP 3.5". There are so many advantages going from a 2.5" to anything larger (regardless the brand) Drive-ability is so much smoother and w/ a tune you can net a lot more power.

The only thing that I was bummed out was buying a new battery as well. With that being said, the smaller battery and the OEM battery box being removed frees up so much space in the engine bay.

I would go ahead and jump on this, the pros outweigh the cons. Hope this helps.

Well hopefully i can update this with some numbers and logs this week sometime.
Finally got my OL maf dialed in to where i feel comfortable trying to get more power out of this in the heat. Honestly i really do not think i am going to get much more out of it. on 93 octane, but 1st 2nd and hell if i really want beginning of third is usuless at 280hp/310tq.

Here is a baseline. Attached is my current VD with 16psi a bit of overboost at the end which i will dial down and 12 degrees of timing up top

I read 75% thru and then decided to ask my question so sorry if it was covered in the last 25%.

Are y'all seeing some real gains on these 3"-4" intakes over just a regular cobb intake with the k04 or is this more for the big turbo setups?

Honestly i am not sure how much more HP i am seeing, maybe 10 to 20 max. But it does make the car respond to throttle inputs alot quicker, at least it seems that way to me, oh and you get an eargasm everytime you get on the throttle what other excuse do you need to buy one. You can tell all your ricer buddys that it gave you 100hp they wont know any better when they hear the turbo lol

I feel like my car lost some hp down in lower rpm's but possibly picked up a few on the top end. If on stock turbo, I'd say get the 3". I would have, but they were out of 3" pipe when I ordered and didn't feel like waiting.
