Mazdaspeed6 Small Battery Tray

Fits the following batteries:
-Odyssey PC680
-Braille B129, B14115, B2015, B106

*The stepped design of this tray allows for the fitment of several different battery sizes and profiles. Each tray will come with the proper hold down strap to fit your battery. Additionally, these will come standard with the machined aluminum finish picture here with an option for black wrinkle powder coating.

Since I ditched the idea of relocating the battery to the rear, what battery would you recommend to run? I drive my car 2-3 days in a row, then it stands for a week or sometimes two. I also run a 12v air compressor off of the battery once in a while. What is the smallest battery I can run under these conditions?

You will be able to run one of the braille b14115 or the odyssey pc680 if you disconnect the battery when it sits for days at a time. Small batteries are fine as long as you tend to them and not let them drain all the way. A race team that we fabricate parts for has been using the same pc680's for the last 5 years, they are disconnected after use and if that car won't be run again for weeks then it is put on a battery tender. If you don't wanna keep disconnecting the battery then I would suggest the 51R battery.

Ok, I looked around and I will go with Braille. I think the stock battery has right positive polarity and the B14115 is left positive. Any problems with that? I do not want to relocate any cables, just looking for a drop-in solution. I know some guys on the forum were running cables around to fit a left positive battery. Is the B2015 a better choice because it is right positive? Thanks.

I would say the B2015 is a better choice because of the higher cranking amps. The B14115 will work just fine turned like Kyle pointed out.

@Code Monkey; I was running the Braille with the poles reversed..... It will work you just need to turn the battery around and it will work.... At least that is what I did

We designed it like that so it would also fit the Odyssey pc680 along with the other size Braille's. It's easier from a manufacturing/inventory standpoint to have reduced part numbers (especially on parts that won't ever be big sellers).

I can always make a custom piece that will be within +/- .0002" @ 70*F if you want. ;-)

Can I have a custom piece then? I do a lot of HPDE events and am afraid that the battery will slide too much. How do I return the current tray and how much more is the custom tray? You can PM me the return info and the price, please also add the black powder coat to the price.

Finally dropped the battery in, the tray is very nice, powder coated is the way to go. Waiting on that 3.5" intake system for the MS6, make it happen, pretty please!
