I do not see an email from you, we got one from Will and Brian both have been replied to.

Next week we will start to see these trickle back from anodizing, so not everyone will get dropped tracking at once.

I will say that anodizing these on the inside with proper coverage has been a tricky. This is due to the smaller holes and making sure that there is no trapped air. We made design changes to aid in this process but it still required more attention on the coaters part and they aren't able to anodize as many at a time as we were quoted. I went and met with them early this week and got them to agree to running these in smaller batches and even 1 at a time if we have to.

I apologize for the wait, and thank you all for being patient.

I have my tank and it's installed. If you're frustrated with the wait, I can promise you the fit and craftsmanship make it all worthwhile.

Here it is complete with the accessories and hardware

4 studs in the sturdy pump mount plate and some nylock nuts

The grounds are integrated cleanly back to their stock location, and the other 4 bolts are in the frame rail. This isn't going anywhere.

Ahhh, so easy to fill with that convenient neck. I got a tall transmission fill funnel from Napa and it stands in there unsupported. The hose headed off to the right is the ventilation line.

I hacked a 3/4" segment out of my JBR cold pipe and slipped this 3 bung adapter in there (after I ground them down to get a clean spray pattern)

And here you can see blurry in the foreground is the check valve and line headed up to a D12 nozzle. I'll be adding a D10 to that, and expect the pump will be near its limits.

Installation is painless and logical. The welds are works of art. The mounting points align perfectly and are extremely solid. Yes, it was a long wait - but it's worth it.

Edit: DO NOT FORGET IT'S 3/8 NPT COMING FROM THE TANK FEED - if you still want to use your push lock 1/8th npt stuff, you'll need an adapter as pictured above. I ordered one from Summit, then called Napa and they had it in stock - so I've got a spare reducer if anyone needs it.

No filter?
Are you concerned about possible debris or metal shavings in the tank that might make its way into the pump? Or was the tank clean as a whistle? Lol.

There is no debris in these from the manufacturing process. All holes were laser cut before it was formed. They all were QC & pressure tested for leaks before they went to the anodizer. They also do 2 QC checks at their ISO facility. Any debris will be introduced when filling, so don't eat Taquitos above the funnel when you fill it.

Just so you guys know, you should run solenoids with this tank. Isn't that right @JgamB;?

Since when was it ever acceptable to not use a solenoid... The problem you described has been around for years now. Check valves don't magically stop methanol flow...they just only allow flow in one direction. Some of them are spring loaded like the DO ones, but this spring is not intended to keep methanol from flowing when the pump is shut off. Dale found this out in his thread recently.

Dale's meth injection fun - pre vs. post TB and dual vs. single nozzle

I have DO nozzles, they have micro mesh screens at the nozzle. But regardless, I filled with water first, primed and flushed the tank. I had no idea HTP went to those lengths to keep it clean. I also don't run 100% meth right off - I make sure my lines aren't leaking, etc.

Too bad I relied on a check valve though.. lol. I would NOT recommend Devil's Own for that. As @MD1032; pointed out, they aren't all made equally.

This is a much better option apparently, but I went with a solenoid

@Matt@HTP;, any updates on Gen1 ship dates? I received the email that they will be coming back from anodizing soon, so I'm planning a July 11th install. Please tell me I will have it by then

Ill be the first one to buy one of these used when someone decides they dont want.

I want something like this with the fill neck, no paint, and only 2 fittings 1/2 NPT one top one bottom so I can use it as a air to water intercooler tank. I just want plain aluminum.
@HTP; do you have any beta units or incomplete or failures or something that can be made like this cheap ? I dont want all the finishes.

For use of an expansion tank? Should be no problem. Our CTSV expansion tank is the same as the Speed but with different mounting brackets and a Jabsco pump flange.

Link? I have a bosch cobra water pump so I am not sure about what mounting solution to use.

how affordable can you make it without any finish or anything, my water core has no coating on it either nor the radiator so I see no need to coat the tank. I know its nice, but I need to save cost.

I was going to have one fabbed locally, but if you got something we can work out thats close to the cost then I wont take my car to the shop.

Depending on the capacity of the expansion tank I was even going to go for a second tank on opposite side, but one should be enough. I also though about putting an ice box in the passenger floor board but I already claimed the entire trunk for meth, audio, and battery.

My system barely seems to hold a gallon and I think it heat soaks fast. I would like to add like 3 gal to it, but of course fitment is always a bitch on this car. I have a good spal fan on the heat exchange and the bosch pump with this kit:

Water to Air Intercooler

So im only using the core and heat exchange and hoses everything else i upgraded.

So if you can lead some advice on this, then also i have 2.5" IC pipe feeding the 3" core inlet with 3" out going to stock TB which is smaller than the outlet. Should I reduce the outlet with some sort of weld on aluminum to restrict flow and slow it down? I get boost creep with the new air to water as it steadily climbs from 25 to 26.3+ boost till redline and never stops. I did not have this issue with my CPE Fmic, but now i got like 14 inches of intercooler piping opposed to several feet so I assume I lost pressure drop.

"I'll quote you on a custom tank in 2 weeks when I get back from vacation" is what I said. I didn't discuss anything else with you.

The last of the Gen 2 tanks came back from anodizing late on Friday, and Katie (Tank Girl) shipped them out Monday. The delivery driver told me they were racking up the Gen 1 tanks before he left with that delivery.

We are plenty stocked, so I'm not sure why our website would say we aren't shipping. Email me a link where it says that please.

If I am wrong than its irrelevant, sorry for confusion, but i swear I saw on the site where it said closed until 8/1, I guess its possible I had you confused with another site (did not think so but possible). Either way it does not effect me so ill back out of here.

Have a good day all!

EDIT: @Matt@HTP; I apologize, I found what I was talking about and it was JMF, not HTP. so ignore me !

What does racking up mean? Or did you mean wrapping up?
