Rear coil locking nut stuck, possibly front endlink question too So since installation a few months ago I noticed I bit more body roll than what I had experienced with the stock suspension. I came to the conclusion that my rear springs were set too soft, so I dropped the lca's and lowered the spring perches about a half inch. Effectively reducing body roll after a quick test drive. Also raising the car a bit as well... So I go at the locking nut (on the shock) with pb blaster and fat man power and they will not budge. Looking at the nuts, I am pulling toward me, from the left (in case anyone says I'm going the wrong way). I have read about pulling them out completely and using tire irons, atf, heat, and more things that sound like a pain in the ass. I just don't want to damage these things and was wondering what recommendations you might have. The spanners are both bent now, I managed to hammer them back to almost being straight. I'm getting a pretty gnarly clunk now from the front right when turning. Saturday I'm going to adjust the endlinks properly and replace my bushings. How do I make sure the bar is at its static position when adjusting the links? Or is it a guesstimate kind of thing? Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 2 |
