How to tell your WMI is spraying

Here's a useful how-to for methanol and water injection users. It is easy to tell if your WMI system sprayed by looking at the boosted air temps (BATs) just after a boosted run. It doesn't have to be a full run, a second or 2 under boost triggering the WMI system should do it.

If WMI was spraying the BATs drop right after you let off. If it was NOT spraying there is no BAT drop. Made a quick couple of graphs to show the difference. Using this you can keep an eye on your WMI system if you don't have another failsafe installed. Note that this works if you are spraying at the throttle body. If you are spraying direct port only (in each runner) you will not see this drop in BATs since the MAP/BAT sensor is not going to get wet.

Also note that this doesn't tell just how much the system was spraying and if you rely on the system for fuel and octane it is always a good idea to have a failsafe in place.

Probably tell by the lower starting temp also, if both runs were done at the same time. Like you mention though, when you close the throttle and pull a vacuum in the IM, it boils any Meth left over and cools quickly.
