Do you have a good picture of the pneumatic diagram on the solenoid @Lex;? I'm guessing you don't really need to cap port 3 in bleed mode, just like it's not needed with the MAC solenoids sold under the COBB and GrimmSpeed brand names. Not that it hurts to block it off anyways. |

Solenoids have pneumatic symbols on them that outline how the valve functions. When the solenoid is actuated, airflow is allowed from port 1 to port 2 ONLY, and port 3 is blocked. This means that if you run the EBCS in 2-port mode, with port 1 going to boost source and port 2 going to inlet (bleed), if the boost source is under more vacuum than the inlet there will be no airflow. P.S. also, you will notice that in 2-port mode you don't need to block port 3, as the inlet will always be under vacuum with respect to ambient pressure when the engine is running, so there will never be airflow into the intake when the solenoid isn't energized. If port 3 isn't capped, though, it will show up as a 'leak' when doing a boost test. |

@Lex; I noticed in the engine bay pic that the nipples seem to be brass and in the second pic they are black. Can you confirm if these are plastic like the OEM or are they metal like the COBB's/Grimmspeed. |

3 Port setups do a have a $25 tuning fee IF they are in 3 port mode. This extends tuning by a week as well so overall it's not a bad deal. |

1 Attachment(s) Although a little bit more challenging than using a boost dial, a full LOAD based tune with tapered boost curve can be done using the 3Port EBCV alone. Here's the WGDC and boost curve of a 2-3-4 pull of a BNR S3 we are tuning purely load tuned with a 3 port (interrupt) setup. Note that not all cars respond the same and boost setups that tend to oscillate are much better off being tuned using the Boost Dial. |
