Product Release: Stratified shift extension and knob!

After driving and handling many different shifters, knobs, and everything in between, it became clear that something like this improves the shifting experience in both an objective and subjective manner.

Below is our answer for this. This first edition extension fits the MS3 (2007-2013) but NOT the MS6. We will have one for the MS6 guys and gals out shortly.

We are also offering a 10% off the extensions and knobs in this first batch!

Looks excellent! How much taller is it?

LumberJack 05-16-2013 09:09 PM

Sexy looking rod and nice knob too lol! Can't wait for the full release

Haltech 05-16-2013 09:10 PM

Hopefully its an entire replacement mechanism, rather than just a drop in from the top piece. The one thing that i learned after replacing the nose cone is, shift cables are under tremendous torque with short throws.

From the shift boot to the top of the shift knob should be a touch over 4.75".

It's just an extender.

Anything taller than stock is much better. Thats my one thing I hate about the speed is the low shift knob. Closer to the steering wheel height makes me happy.

Lex 05-17-2013 09:14 PM

I think a lot of you will be very pleasantly surprised at how this changes the shifting dynamics. Rowing through the gears is so effortless.

You're seeing it. :) It's a shifter extension (that works with any knobs for the speed) and an optional lightweight knob.

tc0308 05-17-2013 09:28 PM

I wants!

What's the material for the knob made out of?

Also will it be available in white?

Tomas 05-17-2013 11:22 PM

It's made of Canadian maple whale penis alloy.
And you don't want it in white. Black = largest endowment.
It's better than carbon fiber.
Stronger. Lighter. More potent. Delivers deepest penetration possible.
Canadian stratified shift knob gives moar pleasure.
That's all you need to know. Buy it.

@silvapain; , @Nliiitend1;

yomyster67 05-18-2013 03:41 AM

I just put a twm 4" extender on and it's a little too tall, 3-3.5" would be perfect. Also it's skinny so it doesn't fit the top of the boot and looks funny but racecar.

I do enjoy the smoother shifts.

You have my attention.

silvapain 05-21-2013 06:02 AM

@Lex; I'm down to buy one immediately! I have a similar setup I've pieced together on my car now, and I love it!

naoandlater 05-21-2013 09:18 AM

Do want. Been looking for shifter extenders for a while and this maybe the one to get.

ABolewski 05-21-2013 10:11 AM

Looks very clean. How ever I'm always so afraid to go with anything other then stock… I may pick it up and try it out.

x09MS3GT 05-21-2013 03:35 PM

Hell yea, Silvapains pic has sold me. I want one. That shit is beast mode.

Like my big red ball, do ya? Wanna see it up close, do ya?

Lex 05-21-2013 08:50 PM

@silvapain; nice setup but this is so much cleaner looking :)

Now that I'm back in town I am going to wrap up the documentation and these will be available to purchase this week!

Thanks for all the great feedback.

breakfasteatre 05-21-2013 09:17 PM

Have you guys run this extension on an otherwise stock throw shifter?

I have run an extension on my stock throw shifter. It was horrible.

I have driven a speed3 with the complete tmw short throw shifter setup, plus the extender. That was butter.

my experience

Have run it on both. Worked great on both but some of this is also personal preference.

Oh, I agree wholeheartedly; that's why I'm going to buy your setup and try it out.

kritz 05-22-2013 06:42 AM

Hmmm, interesting.

Lex 05-23-2013 11:22 AM

Sexy ain't it.

Keko 05-23-2013 11:50 AM

Will buy immediately. Take my money.

yomyster67 05-23-2013 02:32 PM

Keko 05-23-2013 03:31 PM

I keep coming back to this thread... so I might as well ask it. Do you know specifically when this is being released?

I know you said sometime this week, but I want it now!!

Lex 05-23-2013 03:40 PM

The target is for Friday unless I run out of time in which case it will be Saturday.

mrmonk7663 05-24-2013 12:23 AM

What is the weight of the extension itself and what is the weight of the lightweight shift knob you offer with it?

Lex 05-24-2013 07:53 AM

Extension is 85 grams, the knob on top (aluminum) is 180 grams.

Lex 05-26-2013 09:45 PM

OP updated and extensions and knobs are up for sale! Come and get them while they're hot!

SarcasticOne 05-26-2013 09:53 PM

Does this have the shift pattern on the top?
Just that in some countries (like Australia) Mr police man can defect your car if it doesn't display the shift pattern :(

Had no idea this is the case in certain places. The knob does not have the shift pattern on top. This is something I will keep in mind for future redesigns.

They usually get you for one big thing (car to low/noisy) and then go over your car and pick up a heap of little things...

Anyways, back on topic :)

Erich 05-27-2013 11:02 PM

Still first batch and 10% off, or did all the first batch go this weekend?

Edit: Never mind, clicked the link and still 10% off. Ordered. Looks like there are now 8 left.
