In spite of your few flow modifications your car is flowing very well at these temperatures and not needing much boost to hit the load targets of the Stg1 tune.

Were you planning a full tune soon?

Thanks for taking the time to look.

I eventually want to get a full tune; my struggle is wondering when it makes sense to do so. The car can always use more power, but I also want to further enhance the handling aside from just a JBR Rear Sway.

My next thought on power would be a 3-inch Intake to replace the Injen Cold Air, catted downpipe (emissions) and upgraded top mount. That takes money that I don't have at the moment lol. So I'm wondering if it makes more sense to go full tune after I dive in further with the flow mods.

I would say that a test pipe and a TMIC will get you to 90+% of the power potential of the K04 with a tune.

I'm highly interested in a Top Mount intercooler (particularly the ETS model). As for a test pipe, living in Northern Virginia essentially means I'll have to go the catted downpipe route. We have STRICT emissions testing here.

Thanks for your input and future insight, @Lex;

The test pipe just removes the secondary cat in your exhaust. So your primary cat and the OEM downpipe stay. The primary cat is much better for emissions than any aftermarket high flow cat in a downpipe.

The test pipe is 4 bolts to be put in and can be done in under an hour easily. On top of this a test pipe is much cheaper than a full downpipe.

He can certainly get a tune now as well and we can push a good amount further from the S-OTS+. I was just giving suggestions on what a really good cost/benefit combo is for opening up the exhaust and intake at a minimal cost.

Ahh okay, that makes sense then. That's surely something to keep in mind then as I progress further into this build. With the flow of a test pipe added to my stock exhaust system, would that qualify my car for a Stg 2+ tune?

Thanks again, @Lex;
