Default where to add a fuse for guardian angel
Searched and most use engine bar but found this thread.

Startup issue after winter Hibernation

I got the same codes when I used engine bar and my car would not start. Just installed a gt2871r and would like to use the added protection asap.

Can anyone tell me another fuse spot to use. Documentation does not give any options other than to use an add a fuse.

A good fuse location for the GA is the ENG BAR location. This location shuts off when the car turns off and it turns on at startup. The GA uses very little current - well under 1 Amp so a 5A fuse for the GA is more than enough.

Lex, Any thoughts on the link/issue OP posted. He was having a similar issue. He hit me earlier today after the install when his car wouldn't start. Went over all the plugs and electrical things he touched throughout the turbo install, eventually disconnected that specific add-a-fuse and the car started right up.

May be coincidental.

The Add a fuse in engine bar is a no go. I got 4 crazy codes and couldn't even start my car. Please see the link I posted. Are there any other similar fuses one can use?

Just got a reply from @SpeedRebirth I followed his pics to help with my GA install.

I PM'ed him and he gave me the following answer.

Same thing happened to me, and it's because you didn't use two fuses in the addon. One for Engbar and the other (top one) is for the Guardian angel.

The lower slot should have the 15A fuse and the upper should have 1-3A fuse
I will try this at lunch and let you know how it goes.

You do need 2 fuses. The top fuse is the one the GA uses. The bottom one is the one that the car will continue using.
