| Not Ranked : 0 score hi! thanks for this tutorial. I still have some questions ![]() Why do you make changes in the maf table based on the volts? In albior tooning guide it is said to make changes by the breakpoints f.ex. 0-5,7g/s - one multiplier. 5,7-18 second and so on. You change the multiplier in between (exactly where you see the change in your log). Which method is correct? |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score because the g/s could be anywhere on the table. technically the g/s are wherever you put them and they can be wrong. thats why its best to go by the maf volts and go by what the cars telling you

| Not Ranked : 0 score When I tuned using Albilors tunning guide he talks about changing the Cl/ol transition point to make it transition earlier. If your having trouble staying ol would it be a good idea to raise the transition point so that during the maf calc it stays ol? One time I pressed the accelerator so slowly I never even hit 100g/s at redline, but it was still enough to switch to cl due to me adjusting the transition point. What do you currently have them set to? Raising them to something like 1.50 Load might help you to not enter open loop so early. Make sure you revert back to whatever values you currently had after you've gotten your MAF Cal done for closed loop fueling. Try out what i said just above

temperature changes, fuel quality, elevation, etc... can all change simultaneously so your ECU will always be doing some work to correct fueling. Do me a favor and post up your MAF Cal log where you keep seeing your LTFT go to 0 so i can see whats going on

It would appear that you did not drive in the 18-30 g/s breakpoint long enough for any trims to be learned

It could be that your MAF values in that breakpoint are so accurate that it barely needs to make any correction to fueling, and its such a small percent that its not registering any average for a LTFT because it does not correct for long enough. We shall see when you post the log.

EDIT: For example, if at 4500 RPM your at 15% position on your accelerator pedal, then you need to gradually increase to 20% by slowly going from 15 to 16~17~18~19 to 20. That should be just enough to get you over 100 g/s.

Anyway, Log #1 and #3 show that the ECU is not really making much correction to hit your proper fuel target. My guess is that its not enough to register a solid average for a LTFT. Keep driving on this map for more and more miles and let me know if you ever develop a LTFT for the 18 g/s - 30 g/s breakpoint. It is possible that your MAF values for that breakpoint are just damn near spot on.
