Fuel mix cheat sheets 5 Attachment(s) Seasonal Blends By Region For 70%, 75%, 80%, 85% seasonal blends of e85 (ethanol content by volume), also factoring in e10 pump gas. Please let me know if you guys want other blends of e85/e10 done up. E85 beta scalar cheat sheet: http://www.mazdaspeedforum.org/forum/foru...heat-sheet.jpg ***NOTE*** This cheat sheet is based on the percentage of ethanol in the tank, NOT the percentage of e85 in the tank (ethanol content by volume). See below sheets for actual %E for use in the above table. E70 mix cheat sheet: http://www.mazdaspeedforum.org/forum/foru...1&d=1330458221 E75 mix cheat sheet: http://www.mazdaspeedforum.org/forum/foru...1&d=1330458221 E80 mix cheat sheet: http://www.mazdaspeedforum.org/forum/foru...1&d=1330458221 E85 mix cheat sheet: http://www.mazdaspeedforum.org/forum/foru...1&d=1330458221 Actual spreadsheet (which can be modified for other seasonal blends and also has the scalar cheat sheet within it) is also attached now. |
The XLS for whomever wants more granularity, etc. Made in OpenOffice, not sure if it will have issues with Excel or whatnot. Edit: Use the XLS in the OP. |
cool man. was wondering where my 2/5 was. |
Looks like about 19% on winter blend. |
I Just realized I should probably post up my method for filling up; the rule of 3. MS3 has 14.5 gallon tank, but reads E at about 2 gallons; I figure each quarter tank is 3 gallons, making 50/50 mix 1.5 gallons per quarter tank or .75 gallons per 1/8th, with half a tank obviously being 3 each and 3/4 fill-up being 4.5. While you may not fill all the way up to the neck with this method, you are less likely to fuck up your mix when doing so. |

Everything now in the OP for ease of perusal. |
Sweet thank you. |
This should be stickied. thanks Enki! |
I might help to change your vocabulary in the first post a little to specify "by volume" as opposed to "by ratio of ethanol to gas". Otherwise, very helpful, thanks! |

Some people may also find THIS calculator helpful. |
Unfortunately, that site won't tell you the scalars for the AP, and the mileage shit doesn't apply because we can tune for MUCH better mileage on e85 than a normal, un-tuned flex-fuel vehicle can get (basically close to stock mileage if you keep your foot out of it). |

Ok... But the screenshots up top are pretty much laid out so you don't have to type anything into a calculator. |
