Injector seals solution.

1 Attachment(s)
Hello everyone!

So here is a new tip for all those who face the problem of blown OEM injector seals and don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on OEM or some reinforced seals, there's a solution: The Toyota diesel injector seals. These seals come for every diesel Toyota engine and are proven to be of good quality.
These seals have been tested for more than a year on a number of modified Mazda 2.3 DISI Turbo engines, with different power level (from stock to 400hp) running on awful Russian fuel. None of the seals failed so far. Installation does not require any machining or trimming. They fit perfectly.

Now, the price. It is USD 7.8 per kit. USD 1.9 each.

P/N: 11177-64010

Enjoy.

UPDATE: See the pic attached. There is a comparison of OEM Mazda seals (left) and Toyota diesel seals (right). Mazda seals have rubber-like coating, Toyota seals do look like they are made of brass alloy. Surely they do not look as beefy as CP-E seals, but they are proven to be working on a number of modified cars. Two of them are 370hp and 405hp.
Different alloys have different properties and as you know diesel engines have extreme pressure spikes in the cam. Still it would actually be useful to find out the limit of these seals' tolerance on Mazda DISI engines.

Cool man looks like a good solution.
What are the symptoms going to be when the seals are starting to go bad?

They either are OK, or get blown. If they are blown, you'll notice the knocking/chattering sound and jerking under boost.

I've got these ordered from my local Toyota Dealer. He said 3-4 days so maybe middle of next week or earlier. At that price if they don't work I'm not out much and we can all see them. I'll post pictures up when I get them. He said they came off of an 84 Corolla diesel.

From the illustration I'm looking at it looks just like a rubber o-ring. There is a seat that fits on the injector but I'm not sure if that would fit our application or not.

In my eyes the major difference from the stock and the CPe seals are the brass looking sleeves that they include in the kit.

I suggested back in the Injector Seal thread that VW 2.0T injector seals might work too. From the pictures I've seen of the CPe seals and the VW seals I have in hand they look the same.

So this is a washer style solution?

ak_spray 02-10-2012 12:41 PM

According to the Toyota illustration that I have it just looks like a rubber o-ring but it may be wrong. I had the dealer fax me a copy of it so I could look at it before I received them.

Hmm, interesting. I do see a short lifespan on these seals if they are made of rubber/teflon. VW and Audi use a very similar seal but the injector has a step inside of it for it to seal to seat on.

ganque 02-10-2012 12:58 PM

Group buy anyone?

Jake5713 02-10-2012 01:01 PM

this is seriously amazing if it works!!:eek2:

Etipp98 02-10-2012 02:11 PM

They look brass to me

ak_spray 02-10-2012 03:24 PM

I looks like it has a "Seat" that might be brass so do you think they would pair two brass seals/o-rings together? Not sarcasm that's a real question.
