Default Snyeed 07 MS3 SP63 + Borg Warner FJ Performance

This build has been over a year in the making!! after running into blow by issues and not the best leak down test results, I decided park the car before I vented the block.

83,XXX miles stock motor running a gt3071 and supporting mods, The stock motor treated me very well but it was time to upgrade.

Snyeed's 07 True Red MS3

@SPEEDPERF6RMANC3 Built motor
@Matt@FJPerformance BW turbo kit
@Justin@Freektune handling the tuning

-10.6.1 high compression
-Manley H beam rods
-H11 head studs
-coated bearings
-port and polished head
-balance shaft delete
-keyed crank and sprocket

-FJ Performance turbo kit with BW s360 turbo
-catless DP
-Precision wastegate
-Tredstone TR1035 core
-Tial Q bov
-Freektune 4" intake
-JMF intake manifold w/ 1000c bosh injection
-SP63 port injection kit w/ dual intake pumps
-4 bar map sensor
-Stratified 3 port
-SP63 breather cap
-Sp63 fan ccontroller
-Defi boost and oil pressure guage
-Matt Damond catch can kit
-Cobb AP
-Southbend Stage 3 endurance

-Corksport Coilovers

The motor is in with 300+ miles, its getting very cold here in Utah but I'm hoping to at least get the motor broken in before I put her away for the winter.

@Snyeed;

Great looking build you got there! Almost the same engine specs I went with

One advice though. Ditch the 4 port EBCS, they don't work well with our ecu and there's really no benefit going that route. It will cause a lot of issues and will make it next to impossible to tune. Think nishan did testing on 4 port and it didn't work out.
You thinking of upgrading the IC later on? TR8 might not be enough for your setup

Edit: Looked again and it's a bit confusing how you worded it "4 port map sensor". Do you mean 4 port ECBS or 4 Bar map sensor?

Thanks for that, running a Bosch 4 bar map sensor with a 3 port. Upgrading the intercooler is at the top of my to do list along with getting some better street tires to do logs, I'm thinking Nitto 555r .

That makes sense then. The jmf logo and the mounting points for the fuel rail are different.

Glad to see the 3 is still kicking! My 3071r has been good to me too, can't wait to see how this build turns out.

Vibrant ultra quiet resonator ordered, the exhaust tone is to much for me. I need to be flying under the radar, even though I had a cop behind me for a mile he must of liked how it sounded.

Right now I have a non catted dp to a cpe cat back with a little muffler, hopefully this one resonator will be enough.

Resonator installed! It cleaned up the exhaust tone very well.

Just about 700 miles on the motor, I was hoping to put some more miles on her but my days are limited as winter is fast approaching. I'm about 4300 ASL and 10.6.1 pistons.

Hey man, I love the build and how your car looks! Could you post some sound clips when the motor is broken in of how the setup sounds? I am looking to get this exact turbo kit but with the 5858 to go on my built motor. Also, for your exhaust manifold, did you just scotch brite it and ceramic clearcoat it? I love how it looks!

Sounds clips will have to wait awhile but the manifold is exactly how it showed up from FJ, it's turning a nice dark honey color. The car sounds super beast though!

The TR8 can probably be taken to ~550whp. The turbo he's got can carry him to 700whp, the TR1035 is much more fitting.

BTW I'm really digging this build OP. I'll be using a BW turbo too, should be ordering in the next couple of days

I was hoping OP would say something like this. You are rekindling my want for this turbo kit!!

I finished up installing my tr1035 intercooler, ran into a little snag.

Manifold is back at Jmf getting the welds fixed, once that's taken care I should be ready to fire her up.

Manifold is on its way to me, should be here Thursday. If everything goes well I'll be firing her up next weekend!

Honestly I totally forgot about that.... Thanks for the reminder! I might have to add another week onto the start up date.

Nice build man, that JMF looks super old school! Any post-weld fix pics? Never seen a JMF crack there before and did SP63 also do your single runner head? The head and shortblock are apart in the pics provided so I can't figure out if you went elsewhere for the headwork or that's a pic sent to you by them during the build lol

I'll post up some pictures of the manifold when I receive it on Thursday, it cracked because the weld was ground down flush.

SP63 did all of the work on the motor, those are the pictures they sent me of "my engine" being assembled. I'll take a look before I put the manifold back on and see if they match. I did not order the single runner treatment though.

lmao 'stock photo archives' of random builds lol. That Sp63 came off of a MS6? I remember that corner needing massaging to fit with their ps pump being so close
