Default Looking for advice and opinion on buying a built engine

Hey guys I just recently picked up a 06 speed 6 and i am having some low compression across the board on all the cylinders. I don't really feel like spending the time and money to fix the engine because i have come across what seems to be a great deal on a built engine. I would like to see what anyone who cares to comment has to think about the engine that i may be picking up this weekend.

Its a fully built gen 2 block.
Sp63 pistons
Manley H beam rods
.020over
JBR BSD
PNP Head
65lb corwer spring retainers
corksport seals
freakstuds, and arp mains
The guys is asking 4k for the engine. It has no miles on it. He put it in the car and was going to do a 6266 turbo on it, but before he finished with all the piping and all he ran into a family emergency and is needing to sell the engine. This is his 3rd MZR engine assembly. It has a resurfaced and decked head and block and the crank is balanced. The compression ratio is 10.5:1 aswell.

Who built it? Where is this at?

The picture of the full block on the stand looks familiar. Its possible the guy is a member here.

Without knowing who built it, it's hard to say if its a good block to buy or not. Pictures look good, parts list is fine, as long as it was assembled correctly and with new oem components, it should be fine.

A guy named Gino that owns it did the assembly and pnp work. Longs machine shop in San Antonio, TX did the machine work. they have great reviews on google. He had it posted on the mazdaspeed buy/sell group on facebook.

Yeah that's him, he's in all the FB groups.
Haven't heard much out of him lately, think he runs in the same circles as RoRo and Ovaries.
You could have him meet you at @KotzurRacing;s shop and have him look it over for you.

He apparently had his block at Kotzur and didn't see eye to eye with them i guess. He took it from Kotzur to Longs in SA. i don't know what went on between him and Kotzur and don't want to cause any problems anywhere. Probably would best if i kept Kotzur out of the equation.

He said that my guys were talking shit but it was his guys, so he came and picked up the block. I know that sp63 is the only place i have my cranks keyed you might ask him who did it. Im not spending 4k just for the same tooling as sp63 to key cranks. not worth it in the long run. cant beat $275
