Default Pwdunmore's MS6 Build

I started this build last year by building an engine. I thought it was going to be a spare forged block to be used for my MS3... but FWD sucks...

Engine:
- Bored to 88mm
- Manley Rods
- Speed performance custom piston with custom low friction coating (to prevent piston slap)
- L11 Head studs
- BNR S4
- Ebay Exhaust Manifold
- ATP 3" Downpipe
- Custom 3" exhaust
- HDI FMIC (to be installed)
- 3.5" Aluminium JBR intake
- Snow performance Stage 2 MAF Meth (to be installed)
- BC coil overs + RPF1 45+ 17/9" Pilot SS Michelin (to be installed)
- CP-e Stage 1 Clutch
- Speed performance transfer case caps
- CP-e rear diff mount + SURE front diff mount
- Damond stage 3 OCC's with PCV plate
- Techna-fit SS clutch line
- Stoptech brakes + pads

- Stock crank bolts
- Stock head

So I bought this...

Then I noticed the rust issue and got a $2000 estimate to repair it... but I found this a month later with no rust:

I am in the process of breaking in the engine right now. Ran the engine for the first time last week, let it warm up and then drained the oil. Doing the first 50 miles now of 50-75% throttle and its pulling strong. Running Napa premium conventional with the Lucas break in additive. Once I am get good compression I will switch to synthetic.

I wanted to thank everyone here on MSF for the help they have unknowingly provided.
;@rfinkle @MD1032 @Ziggo @dale_gribble ;@Lex

Without all the information I have gathered over the years I would have never been able to do this. Thank you all and I hope to make a 400+WHP beast after tuning is finally done.

I am tuning with Hypnotic and will post logs as I go.

Love you guys sooooo flame on!

It's the 88mm piston from Speed performance. So it's a few decimal points short but that's what rounding is for... lol

The first rusty black MS6 is sitting at my mechanic still. It will be there another week if anyone in the GTA wants parts from it, first come first serve. I don't need anything from it anymore and it has a full panda interior.

I am installing the FMIC right now from HDI and it looks like I can make it fit with my damond power steering cooler. Just need to make another bracket for it to sit flat instead of vertical.

Had to cut a huge chunk from the crash bar so much for making a crash bar mod free kit... be warned if you have the north american MS6 and buy this Australian kit, the crash bars are different. So you will need to hack it up...

88mm does not make a 2.4L, you're actually still not even past 2.3L. It puts you at 2287cc. You won't get to 2.4L without a 90mm bore or a stroker crank.

Rainbow Engines in Markham, they have done good work so far but they are busy due to it being a smaller shop.

Devil's own meth tank and SS lines with check valve to go with a D014 with 100% meth. Hopefully that will be enough extra fuel for the BNR S4.

I have the car stored for the winter right now so I will install this next time I see the car... lol. I have this and step colder spark plugs to be installed then I can complete tuning with Hypnotic Tuning in the spring.
