(Thread Starter) |   Not Ranked : 0 score  Refreshing a low mileage block Engine was previously built with forged internals. Made 500whp with meth at 7k elevation with a 5862. Heres a link to the thread explaining it: Rebuilding an already forged engine.. - Mazdaspeed Forums Decided to buy a low mileage (40k) longblock. I plan on returning to stock turbo with bolt ons. I'll be self tuned and will run mostly 91. I will also be returning to my original plans with the car and finish designing my koni yellow based coil overs. The car will be setup for autocross. In order to keep reliability, I will be keeping with the stock block. I will even be keeping the stock engines mounts as I'm tired of vibes. That might change down the lines if Damond ever produces ms6 mounts. On to the pics:      Looks pretty good. Literally nothing has been pulled off. Not even valve cover. Decided to put the new vvt actuator and chains on. Also pulled the head to check out the cylinder liners.   While the head was off I decided to do new valve seals and clean/lap the valves. (Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Haven't updated in a while. Car is running. Having a hard start. Seems to be maf scaling issues. Also blowing white smoke anytime I get into boost. Can't imagine it's the turbo as I just rebuilt it and already has a restrictor. Haven't driven the car for more than 5 miles also, hoping it just needs to clear the pipes.
