Running it fairly hard. No wot yet, but I've hit about 12psi now. Oil change due at 50 miles, 500 and 1500. I added a motor break in additive with zinc

Welp, today I had time to try and fix a coolant leak. I had some coolant coming from my transfer case. Pulled the wastegate, dp, and driveline to get at it. We will see if I fixed it tomorrow. Other than that, things are going well. I will do my first oil change tomorrow. Oil looks really good. I need to pull my rear fenders more for those r888s. They are more like a 275 not a 255 lol. I will get some wot pulls going soon and post of some vd results.

So u just drive it real hard for break in? Sorry for dumb questions no one can ever answer this when I ask. I thought u weren't supposed to rail on it a lot? Just vary the rpms

Opinions vary. But yes, I have been fairly aggressive with breaking it in. "Driving it like you stole it" apparently helps the rings seat better.

Car running great!!! Turbo not so much. I was hearing a whining noise on startup on my car, then it started making it while in boost. Pulled turbo and the compressor wheels was rubbing on the housing. Sent it off for warranty. Just waiting to hear the consensus and a good turbo. I was super bummed, but it could be worse. Can't wait to get it back and finally got WOT!!!!

No shards of metal have gone into my motor. They have to take quite a trip to make it that far. Precison turbos aren't pos' btw. Every good name out there has a lemon. I would buy a PTE with confidence and they have customer service to back it up

Yea we understand that, it's just so frustrating how hard it is to get a build to go together without having to deal with this kind of bullshit. I had problems with the clutch kit that I bought after my build and it ended up costing me money and a lot of time just because of poor parts that were supplied. You get there in the end but these kind of things are just SO frustrating! I feel for you, and at least a turbo is easier to drop in/out than a gearbox....... Just.

Dang that sux about that Gt28. IIRC I sold it to a guy who then resold it to another member, but I could be wrong. That thing had a brand new chra too

UPDATE!!!! So my turbo got shipped out from Precision yesterday. It was all covered under warranty. Just waiting to get the turbo back, slap it in and starting some logs with dual do10s. Tryin to get it ready for midnight drags on the 23rd of this month.

Turbo got installed last night and drove the car home!!! Woot woot!!!! I started tuning today and ran into spark plug blowout and it was pretty bad lol. I gapped, ngk 6510s, them down to .024 and went for a drive. Seemed to fix it a little bit but still bad. Going to drop them down to .022 tomorrow and see if I can actually do a pull lol. My afrs are in the 9s at the moment too because of meth being sprayed. I will get that cleaned up shortly though. dual d010s are too much right now, so I just have a single nozzle 10 spraying at the moment.

i bet its a hessitation from being too rich, possibly a boost leak along with the meth. i haven't seen spark blowout on a .26 gap up to 35psi-ish

Gapped it down to .021 and it is almost all gone now. Will retry at .020 and .019 tomorrow. Got my afr's figured out too. I have heard as low as .017 for gap, so I'm not worried; every car is different. Just got done putting 125 miles on the motor. I think I'm up to about 300 now lol. WGDC is up to 20 now but have not had a chance to go WOT yet...

I had to gap mine down to .019 due to spark blowout on my build but I'm running HCR

Update. Fixed my blowout issue. Apparently is was also maxxing out my idc's and did not know it. So slight blowout and maxed out injectors lol. Figured they would not be maxed just running spring pressure. Long story short, my 3.5 bar map sensor was not dialed in (car dialed in for 3 bar), and was reading 15psi or so. Dialed it in and found out I was hitting 27+ psi and saw my IDC's super high lol. Now I am trying to figure out why I am overboosting. My wgdc's are zero'd out, and I have tried running all 3 setups for routing my lines (ATP, Grimmspeed and @jmhinkle;'s way), with no success. Guess the next step is to check out if my ebcs is messed up

I ended up having to do the copper rod mod too with my coil packs. Stopped my hesitation and I am gapped at .023.

I suppose its just stretching the springs inside coil packs so they sit there as tight as possible, but I may be wrong

Default Sk1nny finally goes built motor/BT

Just installed this on mine and was able to regap my plugs from .020 to .028 and didn't experience the spark blowout I had previously experienced at .024. The results went so well I'm going to attempt .032 and see how it likes it

Just an update for you guys. Car is rippin!!! We have it at 30psi right now with more room for boost and timing. Just waiting on my JMF manifold and my new AIS meth pump/lines to show up. Then we will be cranking it up more and I'm hoping for 600hp. Can't say enough about this turbo. Took my first win on the new setup. Not sure what hp he was at but built/sleeved Evo X got his ass handed to him with sparkplug blowout and boost cut. Got some decent footage on a GoPro. I will get a VD posted here too. Certainly can't forget about my tuner!!! Thanks Ryan for all the patience and help dude, you rock!!! @2.0t03speed;
