I've been playing around with the idea of buying a spare short block and making it a long winded workshop project to tackle (hopefully) before my stock block decides it's time to leave this life. | Not Ranked : 0 score Most machine shops will be able to balance a flywheel, and some can do pressure plates. Most of the aftermarket units with billet aluminum flywheels will be balanced in process, so nothing to worry about. My Clutchmasters aluminum flywheel was checked and did not need balanced. My steel ACT flywheel was checked and did need balanced.

After taking to a mechanic they were clueless to what was wrong, so I started ripping my engine bay apart. once the engine was out I took off the oil pan to discover this... Head is now off, seeing both exhaust burned up (chunks gone) on cylinder #1 . Next question is what is root cause, and do I rebuild or buy a new (rebuilt) head? |
