Seen the eastwood 200 AC/DC was down to $700 last month. May have to set up price tracking alert to see if it goes on sale again. I want to weld.

I don't know if I trust buying shit online from a website called camelcamelcamel.com, despite how hilarious of a name it has.

camelcamelcamel tracks amazon prices. I use it to get deals.
Welder is sold by amazon from eastwood. Maybe eastwood.com had it on sale too.

CAMALCAMELCAMEL

sucks I wont be able to use it until I buy a house and install 220 in garage. Only have 100a box here. Figured 4g should work @ ~ 40ft as says 30a but we will see as obviously depends on where fuse box is and if I want to overdo it. So we will see but estimate wire and stuff should be ~$200 or so for 40' with breaker and outlet.

I know SuperDave has been MIA (according to his statistics on MSF) but how has everyone else's welding projects gone? I just purchased the Tig200 from Eastwood. Im hoping to work on a new Tial v-band downpipe and new intercooler piping in the future. For now Ill probably stick to plates and learning to weld the different types of joints to get the hang of it.

I can answer any questions that anyone might have about welding. I can also post up some pictures of the process if there is something in particular y'all wanna see. I usually post pictures on instagram @gonewelding. Let me know if I can be of any help.

I purchased a Thermal Arc 185 about 2 years ago. Though i dont have much seat time with it have had a pretty good Sensei to help when i needed.

Made a few things here and there. So far the metal have i stuck together still is holding. Bottom one of the aluminum is when i first fired of the machine, top is after a little practice. Tie inns need work all around.

I have zero experience with a tig, but I want to purchase one and play around with it.

I was going to pull the trigger on the eastwood TIG 200. It seems like a great machine and their 3 year warranty / 60 day try out are a huge plus.

I was watching youtube videos and many seem to favor the AHP Alphatig 200.

I have yet to find a bad review of the alphatig.

Also they are on sale on amazon for $680 + shipping!

Very tempting to order

I saw a lot of reviews on the AlphaTig as well. The main reason I went with Eastwood was for the plasma cutter combo (funny part is I decided not to get the cutter after all). I have only cranked mine up once or twice but so far I like it.
