If I came out I would fly and bringing a bike would be tough.

Cuddling is guaranteed.

My speed has cracks in the paint after getting repaired after my getting rear ended. I am pretty sure I'm going to try and get it totaled because homey ain't playing that with a flexing body. Replacement is looking like a Mustang. Probably one from Lebanon Ohio with a stage 2 Roush super charger making 727 HP. Could pick it up and drive down to the dragon.

Any chance for a dyno day?

Edit: If so this shop is about an 1.5 hours from the hotel and they have an AWD dyno. Currently looking for other closer options.

That's a few new groups but we've discussed before that many other groups will be there concurrent with us. The Tail of the Dragon may be the destination but there are miles and miles and miles of great driving roads everywhere out there, and other things to do too when it comes down to it. Last year I had a great vacation and didn't even take anything but transfer stages down the Dragon. At times, driving Moonshiner 28 was intense at the speed limit. Sharon and I drove it all the way down to its end in Seneca, GA last year which is pretty much an all day drive. Sharon has lots of great scenery memories and I mostly have memories of making sure to stay off the guard rail. LOL

Remember the Dragon and all the other roads are still public roadways and everyone has just as much right to it as anyone else. Plan to be respectful to the other groups and especially the locals, and whatever you do, DO NOT cross the double yellow.

Looks like there's gonna be construction on the dragon for those of us coming in Thurs and Friday the road will be closed at 30 min Intervals from 9-3pm


Best time to run the dragon is at dawn and dusk.

Expect police presence to be high with so many groups coming.. Here is the list off the TOTD Facebook page as of this morning.. If u drive like an ass expect your car to get covered in dick stickers



Is anybody down for doing a dragon/skyway loop... The drive will take about 4 hours...

Make sure u have a good walkie-talkie as there is little to no cell service out here... I recommend the baofeng uv-5r https://www.amazon.com/BaoFeng-UV-5R.../dp/B007H4VT7A
Get the programming cable.

This year I'm probably gonna toy with a car mounted antenna to improve range... Your average walkie will give u about 1/2 mile range.. These radios will roll 2-3 miles with the terrain around the dragon
